About Brett Chaney
Brett Chaney has more than 30 years’ experience in his profession. He commenced his trade in the UK working on numerous projects, including restoration and new builds, while learning how to carve stone.
In the six years Brett has been in Perth he has undertaken scores of different jobs where he has had the opportunity to exhibit his craft.
A landmark job is The Range in Toodyay, built from natural granite. This entailed 18 months.
He also worked as a Stone Mason on Rottnest and Historic Burt Street in Boulder, Kalgoorlie. He has worked on Scottish House in Phillimore Street, Fremantle, Fremantle Prison and helped build the torpedo mount on Monument Hill, Fremantle.
In addition he has also worked on many feature walls and fireplaces in and around Perth, many of which are shown in the gallery.
